Excellent high power astronomical telescope eyepieceBy StarmanHaving used a Pentax XL 7mm eyepiece for several years with excellent results, I went with this XW 3.5mm when I needed additional magnification. You will not be disappointed with this eyepiece. Contrast is outstanding, and the image is indeed sharp to the edge. Views of the moon and planets through this lens are breathtaking. The eye relief is comfortable enough so that you can enjoy long relaxing views without getting tired or fogging up the glass. Once upon a time using high power meant narrow fields and pressing your eye up against the lens, but not any more. It's hard to believe high power viewing can be this good and this comfortable. You may hear some folks say they got an eyepiece "almost" as good for half the price. There is no almost with this Pentax, and it's worth every penny.
